MB Funds sells Cityterveys to SYNLAB

SYNLAB Group, one of the largest medical diagnostics provider in Europe, acquires Cityterveys, Finland’s leading medical diagnostics service provider, from MB Funds.

During MB’s ownership, the company has rapidly become a leading medical diagnostics service provider in Finland. Cityterveys operates 26 clinics around Finland and has the widest MRI network in the country. In addition to MRI imaging, Cityterveys provides laboratory services and x-ray, ultrasound and mammography examinations for private and public customers with competitive pricing. With approximately 100 employees, Cityterveys will generate revenue close to EUR 20 million in 2017.

With its over 17 000 employees, SYNLAB Group is the leading medical diagnostics provider in Europe. SYNLAB operates in more than 30 countries and carries out 450 million laboratory tests per year, achieving sales revenues of approx. EUR 1.6 billion.
