Hannu joined MB Funds team in 1997. Prior to this he was involved in venture capital and private equity activities in the mid-1980s, setting up Finland's first venture capital fund, Suomen Riskirahasto Ky I. From 1981, Hannu spent 10 years at the Industrialization Fund of Finland Ltd as a finance officer, research manager, director and corporate president. Subsequently Hannu was a member of the board, Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of SKOP-Bank.

Juha joined MB Funds in 2011 and is today Managing Partner of MB. Prior to that, he worked for A-Katsastus Group (a leading European vehicle inspection operator), being responsible for i.e. corporate strategy, business development, acquisitions, financial administration and international expansion and, during the past five years, as the Group CEO. He has a strong experience in leading service businesses and expanding them into the international markets. He has worked for both domestic and international private equity owned company and acted as fund investor as well. Juha holds an LL.M.

Aapo joined MB Funds in May 2016. Prior to that, he worked 12 years with various transaction and business development projects in steel industry and in investment banking. In his latest role, Aapo worked four years as a Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Rautaruukki Corporation and SSAB (a global special steel company). Before that he worked as a Partner at Summa Capital. He has also worked at ICECAPITAL corporate finance. Aapo holds a Master of Science (Economics) and CEMS MIM degrees.

Meri joined MB Funds in November 2021. Prior to joining MB, she worked over ten years in strategy consulting and transaction advisory services in Helsinki and Stockholm. In her latest role prior to joining MB team, Meri worked as a Director in KPMG’s Global Strategy Group where she was responsible for KPMG’s commercial due diligence and growth strategy services in Finland. Meri has experience from more than 200 projects including buy- and sell side due diligence projects, business and growth strategy projects, independent business reviews and IPO readiness analyses. Meri holds a Master of Science degree in Economics.

Anssi joined MB Funds in April 2023. Prior to joining MB Funds, he worked close to 20 years in investment banking and M&A advisory services. Anssi worked as a Partner at CountOn Corporate Finance for seven years where he advised clients in more than 30 M&A transactions, both on the sell and buy side. Before co-founding CountOn Anssi worked as a Corporate finance professional at Handelsbanken Capital Markets where he advised clients in both M&A and capital market transactions. Anssi holds a Master of Science degree in Economics.

Anne joined MB Funds in September 2019. Her primary responsibilities include investor relations and legal affairs. Anne has been working in private equity industry since 2000. Prior joining MB Funds she worked for eQ Asset Management where she was responsible for private equity investments in the UK market and eQ’s Private Credit strategy. Prior eQ she worked for ten years at Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment) serving e.g. as a member of the management group and heading the fund investments team. She has also worked for European Investment Fund (EIF) in Luxembourg and Eqvitec Partners’ mezzanine team. Anne has been a member of the board of the Finnish Venture Capital Association since 2012. Anne holds a Master of Science (Economics) and Master of Laws degrees.

Jussi joined MB Funds in April 2020. Prior to joining MB, he worked for a long time in executive management positions, and most recently as the CEO of Silmäasema. Before that, Jussi worked several years for Telia, being responsible for i.e. Finland’s consumer business segment, B2B business segment as well as marketing. In addition to operative profit responsibilities, he took care of several M&A processes to accelerate the business growth as well as worked in international roles. Jussi holds a Master of Science (Eng) degree.

Kimmo joined MB Funds in September 2015. Prior to that, he worked 11 years in transaction advisory businesses in EY and KPMG. In his latest role prior to joining MB team, he worked as a Director in EY’s Transaction Advisory Services where he was responsible for Commercial and Strategic Advisory Services in Finland. Kimmo has experience of over 200 transaction processes in different roles. Kimmo holds a Master of Science (Economics) and Master of Laws degrees.

Minna joined MB Funds in August 2018. Minna’s primary responsibilities include communications and sustainability (ESG) related tasks and development. In addition, Minna takes care of investor and regulatory reporting.

Minna joined MB Funds from Deloitte Finland, where she worked as senior consultant on sustainability and risk management. In Deloitte she gained broad experience in sustainability and corporate responsibility related topics, risk management and risk-based internal audit. In addition, Minna had special focus on ESG Due Diligence projects, sustainable finance topics as well as development of sustainability strategies and reporting. Minna holds a Master of Science (Economics) degree.

Olli-Pekka joined MB Funds in August 2020. Olli-Pekka’s responsibilities include supporting investment team in new investment cases’ identification and analysis. He also participates in M&A and due diligence processes, various tasks that support the current portfolio companies’ management and development as well as development of tools and systems that support portfolio management. Before joining MB, Olli-Pekka worked at Deloitte in M&A transaction advisory services, where he focused on financial due diligence and financial modelling engagements. Olli-Pekka holds a Master of Science (Economics) degree.

Sirpa has been with MB Funds since 1999. Sirpa takes care of day-to-day assistance and support at our office.

Jyrki has been at MB from the beginning. He is in charge of information systems and the follow-up of investee companies and investor reporting.
